Essie Richardson is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with a Master of Social Work from Morgan State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science, with a minor in Sociology, from Coppin State University. She is also a member of Phi Alpha Honor Society for Social Work, recognizing her commitment to academic excellence and the values of the social work profession.
Essie is committed to supporting individuals as they navigate life challenges and works from a compassionate, strengths-based, and person-centered approach. She believes that every individual has strengths and the ability to grow, heal, and create meaningful change in their lives.
As a SHIELD Fellow through the Substance Use Disorder & Health Initiative for Education and Leadership Development, Essie successfully completed specialized behavioral health training focused on substance use and behavioral health. This experience strengthened her understanding of the unique challenges individuals and families may face and deepened her commitment to providing compassionate, supportive care.
Essie is passionate about creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to work toward their goals.
