Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program

Building Skills for Greater Stability and Independence.

Psychiatric rehabilitation helps children and adults living with mental health challenges strengthen the practical, social, and daily living skills that support healthier functioning at home and in the community.

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) works alongside mental health treatment to help people apply what they are learning in everyday life.

PRP for Children

Our children’s PRP supports young people in building skills that can improve functioning at home, at school and in the community. Depending on individual needs, support may focus on communication, emotional regulation, problem-solving, self-care, social skills and other areas that help children navigate daily life more successfully.

PRP for Adults

Adult PRP focuses on increasing independence, stability and community participation. Services may support daily living skills, organization, budgeting, communication, accessing community resources and other practical abilities that help adults manage life more independently.

Working Alongside Mental Health Treatment

PRP is designed to complement ongoing mental health care. By connecting clinical goals with real-world skills and support, psychiatric rehabilitation can help clients make progress that extends beyond the treatment setting.
